A reinvention unfolds as the all-new 2026 CLA emerges anew. Meet this all-electric compact sedan, the first in a new family of vehicles to offer more of just about everything: space, refinement, comfort, intelligence and efficiency.
Designed for the electric age, the CLA comes packed with an 800-volt electric architecture. This system is directly derived from the VISION EQXX, a concept vehicle built with technology that makes way for maximum efficiency and performance.
The first in the electric line-up to feature both a J1772 plug and NACS charging port for DC Fast Charging, the CLA 250+ and CLA 350 can plug into a growing network of compatible 800-volt high-power public chargers like Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging hubs. Every CLA will come equipped with a CCS-to-NACS DC fast-charging adapter to ensure access to the Mercedes-Benz integrated network of 800-volt fast charging stations. Compatibility with 400-volt DC chargers will require a factory-equipped converter, available on CLAs starting in Spring 2026. Vehicles without the converter are only DC fast charging-compatible with 800-volt chargers.Disclaimer[5] Under this 800-volt architecture, the CLA will be able to add up to 201 miles of charge at compatible 800-volt DC fast-charging stations in ten swift minutes. Saving on space with its cutting-edge compact drivetrain, the CLA is the first Mercedes-Benz in 90 years to offer a “frunk” (front trunk). This additional cargo area is suitable for small parcels.
Inside its roomy cabin, expansive innovations like the completely new MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) supports the fourth generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). This new generation is the first in-car infotainment system ever to integrate AI capabilities from both Microsoft and Google, setting exceptional standards between vehicle and driver interactions. Now an interplay of dialogue brings conveniences and comfort well beyond responding to simple commands.
Plans to expand this model with even more powertrain options, including a high-tech hybrid variant, are in the works.
The all-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ Sedan with EQ Technology and CLA 350 4MATIC Sedan with EQ Technology are set to arrive later this year.
