Mercedes-AMG C-Class Sedans
The AMG C-Class is born from racing success, from countless German Touring Car Championships to its creators' success in Formula 1®. With performance innovations derived directly from motorsports, the AMG C-Class sedans are all about taking the lead, and running with it.
A race that knows no finish line.
In an old mill in 1967, two engineers with a passion for motorsports began turning Mercedes-Benz sedans into winning racecars. Today, AMG continues to create victory on the track and desire on the streets of the world. Every Mercedes-AMG vehicle is the product of craftsmen, designers, engineers and racers who live for a singular goal: Driving Performance.
Born to perform, developed to outperform
A Mercedes-AMG engine starts with the state of the art. Everything from fuel pressure to exhaust routing is developed to quicken, heighten and intensify its response, and yours. From patented processes to cut friction to a new generation of electrified performance, AMG technology is fueled by its racing success.
High energy, crafted by hand
Applying AMG's "One man, one engine" principle, the AMG C-Class sedans unite high-tech with handcraftsmanship. Turbo and hybrid innovations wring more than 400 hp from a compact two liters, good for 0-60 in 4.3 seconds for the C 43, just 3.3 for the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE. Disclaimer[4]
Nine speeds, calibrated to quicken
The multiclutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT replaces the traditional torque converter with a lighter, more responsive wet startup clutch. Multiple modes offer such benefits as shorter shift times and multigear downshifts with a double-click of a shift paddle.
Electric turbo, born from racing
An innovative electric exhaust-gas turbocharger is a street-car first, proven in racing by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1® team. A thin electric motor accelerates the compressor at low rpm, accelerating the boost until the exhaust gases can take over.
Plug-in hybrid, hypercar power
The C 63 S E PERFORMANCE teams track-proven tech with its handcrafted turbo engine: a two-speed, 201-hp electric rear motor and lithium-ion battery. It might be the world's only plug-in hybrid with 671 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque.
Exhaust notes, conducted into a symphony
With an active flap tuned to the driving mode, rpm and load, the AMG sport exhaust can revel in the revs or speak with discretion. Available AMG Real Performance Sound can enhance the way actual engine sounds are experienced inside the cabin.
Sharp reflexes from strong instincts
The agility of an AMG C-Class comes not just from its advanced technology but the very nature of its being. Conceived, developed and refined by a team of racers, each element of handling turns collaboration into graceful coordination.
Torque delivered wisely
AMG Performance 4MATIC® is all-wheel drive that preserves the sport-sedan feel beloved by driving enthusiasts. The C 43's rear-biased torque split enhances grip without sacrificing agility. The C 63's 4MATIC+ adds fully variable torque and a Drift mode. Disclaimer[5] Disclaimer[6]
All the wheels taking turns
With up to 2.5 degrees of rear-axle steering, all four wheels are in on the handling action. Rear wheels can steer opposite or in phase with the fronts based on speed, drive mode and vehicle dynamics, to enhance stability, agility and maneuverability. Disclaimer[5]
Deceleration with determination
Substantially sized brake hardware includes multi-piston front calipers acting on perforated discs. Model-specific performance packages include red calipers. The C 63 S E PERFORMANCE front discs are composite as standard, with new Carbon Ceramic a track-focused option. Disclaimer[7] Disclaimer[8]
Changing roads, shifting moods
AMG RIDE CONTROL pairs adaptive damping with adapted hardware and 3-stage parameter steering to continually optimize feel and feedback. AMG DYNAMIC SELECT lets you fine-tune performance with five drive modes on the C 43, six with the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package, and eight on the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE. Disclaimer[7]
Cheats the wind, indulges the driver
From their subtly shark-nosed vertical-bar grille to the driver-focused cockpit, everything about the C 43 and C 63 puts the emphasis on AMG's core value: Driving performance. Form and function both flow seamlessly, inside and out.
Art of support
Sculpted front sport seats feature deep bolsters and bold details. Or you can opt for the racing-inspired support of AMG Performance seats. Each model lets you tailor the cabin with its own range of upholstery, plus seven trim options. Disclaimer[9] Disclaimer[10] Disclaimer[11]
Displays of power
Dual digital displays are high in resolution, big in size, angled toward the driver, and highly customizable. In addition to four instrumentation styles, you can opt for an AMG Head-Up Display or the integrated track data logging of AMG Track Pace. Disclaimer[12] Disclaimer[13]
Touches of brilliance
Capacitive touch buttons on the twin spokes of the AMG Performance steering wheel put cockpit features at your thumbs. Shift paddles and the AMG DRIVE UNIT keep power and performance settings at hand, too. The wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather, with microfiber and carbon-style optional.
Metals of valor
AMG® wheels meld precision with poise and presence. Choices range from 18 to 20 inches on the C 43, 19 to 20 inches for the C 63. Each design is aero-optimized to reduce drag and enhance brake cooling. Disclaimer[9] Disclaimer[10] Disclaimer[11]
Elements of style
Unmistakable AMG style can also express your own. Night Packages add gloss black accents. You can render key elements in genuine carbon fiber. There's also an AMG Performance Studio suite for the C 43, or AMG Performance Design and Aero packs for the C 63.
