The late artist, creative director, fashion designer and philanthropist, Virgil Abloh, and Mercedes-Benz Chief Designer Gordon Wagener designed Project MAYBACH, a one-of-a-kind electric showcar. Uninhibited by production requirements, this vehicle explores sophisticated luxury with off-road capabilities foretelling an era of future travel. This collaboration led to the limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, “Maybach by Virgil Abloh,” a vehicle of the highest echelon of luxury.

Mercedes-Maybach collaborated with David LaChapelle, one of the most influential photographers of our time. Known for his vibrant portraits and artwork, LaChapelle has shaped pop culture for decades. In 2024, 15 years after our first collaboration, David LaChapelle teamed up with Mercedes-Maybach again to stage the magic of the EQS SUV, S-Class and GLS.
